A few things it is useful to know before we begin. If your question is not here, write anyway.
Questions couples ask before they write
What shapes the investment?
A collection reflects the days themselves: how many there are, which ceremonies they hold, whether the weekend is photographed, filmed, or both, and the travel the celebration asks of us. It also reflects the manner of the work — a founder-led studio, a considered edit, and the time required to finish something you will still want to live with years from now.
Other studios will sometimes quote for less. That is their work, priced as they see it. Ours is priced for the attention we actually give. If a collection on the page feels like the right kind of starting point, we will shape it to your days with care. If it does not, it is better to know that early, without anyone needing to persuade the other.
How would you describe your style?
Photojournalistic, and contemporary in its finish. We observe more than we direct, so the celebration can unfold as it is. The photographs should feel elevated, honest and like you.
Where are you based?
The studio is based in Hyderabad, and we document weddings across India, the United States and destination celebrations worldwide — including the San Francisco Bay Area, Austin, Dallas and Asheville.
Do you travel? How is travel arranged?
Yes. We travel for weddings in India, the US and farther afield. Travel and stay for the crew Dia brings are arranged with you. Celebrations within Hyderabad do not carry a travel fee.
How do I book you?
A straightforward agreement holds the dates, with a retainer of 70% of the collection. The remaining balance is due one week before the wedding.
When do we receive the photographs?
A considered edit is shared two to three months after the wedding.
How many photographs will we receive?
The number follows the collection you choose and the length of the celebration. A typical wedding day yields several hundred hand-chosen images. We prefer a finished set that can be lived with, rather than a larger set that has not been truly seen.
How are photographs and films shared?
Photographs are presented in a private online gallery, with lifetime access, and as high-resolution files. Films are shared as well. Download links remain available for seven days; a second upload can be arranged if needed. We ask that you download them when they first arrive.
Who holds the copyright?
Sutra Snapperz retains copyright. You receive a full licence to print the images and to share them as you wish.
Do you share raw, unedited files?
No. Thousands of frames are made in the course of a wedding; the work you have asked us for is the finished, considered edit. Untouched files are not part of a collection.
How do timings work on the day?
Indian wedding rituals move in their own time, and a window of sixty to ninety minutes is held with ease. Coverage beyond that can be arranged in advance.
Do you make wedding albums?
Yes. Heirloom albums are crafted by hand, with archival materials and thick, lay-flat pages printed as photographs. They are arranged as part of the collection conversation, rather than assumed.
What if someone important to us is missed?
If there is a person who should not be missed, tell us beforehand. We cover a celebration with care, and we cannot stand in every corner at once. A quiet word beforehand is enough.
Can the collection be paid after the wedding, or after delivery?
The investment is arranged before the wedding. Dates through a season are held for you; we do not take payment after the day, or after the work is delivered.
